The battle of the west is happening Tuesday evening as the BCHL’s Prince George Spruce Kings are in Grande Prairie to face the Storm in exhibition play. This marks the only time the Storm will play in Grande Prairie before opening the season at home on September 11.

Prince George is a member of the BCHL, a sister league to the AJHL. The team is 1-1 in exhibition play, while the Storm is 1-1-1 heading into the final three games of exhibition play.

The game has reduced pricing, with a family of four paying only $26 (two adults, two children), adults at $10 each, senior/students at $5, and children $3 each.  Tuesday’s game will have 5 to 7 players from the Peace Region in the Storm lineup.

Following this match, the Storm head to High Level for a double-header weekend versus the AJHL’s Drayton Valley Thunder. The Thunder won the first exhibition matchup of the two teams on Friday in Camrose, by a score of 8 to 5. The Storm open the regular season at home on September 11 against the Sherwood Park Crusaders.
