The Grande Prairie Storm are very pleased to announce that Alex Bernauer has signed a Letter of Intent to play for the team beginning in the 2021-2022 season.
The 5-foot-10, 175 pound forward joins the Storm from the Saskatoon Contacts of the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League.
The 18-year-old Saskatoon, Saskatchewan native tallied 28 goals and 28 assists for 56 points in 42 games played during the 2019-2020 season with the Contacts.
This season Alex was named captain of the Contacts and got off to a great start in the shortened season tallying three goals and five assists for eight points in six games played.
The Storm would like to welcome Alex and look forward to seeing him on the ice with his new teammates at Main Camp in August.
