AJHL leading scorer, Justin Bernier of the Grande Prairie Storm, is the Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Player of the Month for November 2017. Bernier scored 17 points (5 goals, 12 assists) in ten games through November to push ahead in the AJHL scoring race and leads the league with 15 goals, 28 assists and 43 points.
The 20 year-old forward recorded points in nine of ten games in November 2017 and is in the midst of a six game point streak. Bernier began the month by scoring the overtime winner on November 10th in a 5-4 triumph over the Bonnyville Pontiacs. He closed November with a 4-point game in a 5-3 victory over the Sherwood Park Crusaders and picked up the Viterra Star of the Game Award for the fifth time this season.
Justin Bernier and the Storm are fourth overall in the Viterra AJHL North Division Standings with 31 points and a record of 14-11-3.
