The Storm is proud to announce that Captain Logan Cunningham has committed to the USport men’s hockey program at St. Francis Xavier University for the upcoming season.
Cunningham, an 04 defenceman from Yellowknife, NWT, played 175 games in a Storm jersey, and wore the “C” for 69 of them. Prior to coming to the Storm, Cunningham played for the Spokane Chiefs in the Western Hockey League. On the Storm, Logan was known as a gritty, dedicated player and a strong defenceman.
When asked about the upcoming season, Logan said, ” I’ve heard nothing but great things about the school and it seems like a fun hockey town. I’ve played all my hockey on the west coast growing up, so it will be cool to have a change of scenery. I’m super excited.”
Storm head coach Chris Schmidt added, “It’s great to see Logan commit to St. FX University. I’ve had the pleasure to coach him over the last 3 seasons and have seen him develop into a great player and mature young man. He was a leader for us this season, both on and off the ice, and will be a great addition to St. FX.”
Congratulations to Logan and the Cunningham family!
