Edinburgh Capitals have signed Dennis Rix from the Michigan Tech University. Edinburgh Capitals coach Richard Hartmann said, “I have been recommended Dennis as a player who will be equally as successful as players like Jade Portwood and Curtis Leinweber who have also played in the AJHL and NCAA. Dennis has good speed, skill and is a gritty, hard working competitor. He has put up great numbers in the AJHL which provides an indication of his offensive capabilities. Dennis is a good athlete who is strong on face-offs and works hard in both ends of the ice. He will bring a lot of energy and work rate to the team. I expect Dennis to put up good numbers for the Capitals in this League.”
Dennis Rix said, “I am very excited to have the opportunity to join the Edinburgh Capitals organization, and also to have the opportunity to pursue an MBA at Herriot-Watt University. I look forward to showing up to the rink everyday and doing whatever I can to help the team win. I am looking forward to living, playing and studying in a great city.”
