From the QMJHL Storm sign Levesque!

Bienvenue Charles-Olivier Levesque!

The Grande Prairie Storm are pleased to announce the signing of 97 Goalie Charles-Olivier Levesque. The Quebec native suited up for 20 games last season with his home town team the Rimouski Oceanic of the QMJHL. Levesque was an 8th round pick of Chicoutimi Sagueneens in the 2013 QMJHL draft and played his midget hockey with the College Notre-Dame Albatros in the Quebec Midget AAA league.

Coach Keillor “When talking with Charles he indicated he wanted to pursue a trade when hockey was over. Myself being an electrician by trade I can identify with that. I thought what better place to play hockey and gain experience for a trade than Grande Prairie. Alberta has arguably the best Trade programs in Canada and here in Grande Prairie we have access to great schools like GPRC that we need to do a better job of utilizing when recruiting hockey players interested in post-secondary education. Charles is a competitor and has the demeanor of an elite goaltender that players gain confidence from. He’s very quick, has excellent agility and likes to play the puck. We feel this is a significant addition as we continue to build towards becoming a perennial contender. We are pleased to welcome Charles and his family to the Storm organization”

Fans can see Levesque in action when the Storm hit the Ice for main camp August 25th at Revolution Place. Head down to Revolution to reserve your season tickets today!
