GRANDE PRAIRIE, AB

Local Grande Prairie product and former Jr. A Storm player Jordan McTaggart has joined the Storm as Strength and Conditioning coach. Jordan recently completed his Bachelor of Science degree Majoring in Kinesiology at Augustana College in Camrose, and has returned to Grande Prairie. Jordan played his minor hockey in Grande Prairie and then played 147 games for the Jr. A Storm from 2011-2014. General Manager and President of Hockey Operations Mark Bomersback had this to say about the hiring:
“Jordan is a very passionate young man who is very keen when it comes to strength, conditioning and nutrition for elite athletes. I think the hiring is instrumental to not only the Storm’s success, but for the hockey community as a whole. It is very exciting for the Storm to add such a strong piece of the local hockey community onto our coaching staff.”
“I could not be more excited to be back in Grande Prairie working with the Storm helping make this team one of the best Junior A programs in Canada,” added Jordan McTaggart. “Obviously with the way the game has evolved, strength, conditioning, and nutrition are more important now than ever. I’m looking forward to working with the coaching staff here to develop top-tier athletes and hockey players that will compete for scholarships on the national level.”
