The Grande Prairie Storm are very pleased to announce that Matthew Johnston has signed a Letter of Intent to play for the team beginning in the 2022-2023 season.
The 6’0″ 185lb forward joins the Storm from the North Okanagan Knights of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League. The 17 year old Salmon Arm British Columbia native tallied 11 goals and 19 assists for 30 points in 36 games played during the 2021-2022 season with the Knights. Matthew also played as an Affiliate Player with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks of the British Columbia Hockey League this past season.
The Storm would like to welcome Matthew and look forward to seeing him on the ice with his new teammates at Main Camp in August.
