Merry Chistmas & Happy New Year!

It has been a great first half of the Alberta Junior Hockey League season on and off the ice for the Grande Prairie Storm.

The players were out and about in the community at the start of the season helping out wherever they could.

Students at Holy Cross got the opportunity to meet the players as they assisted the patrollers at the school crosswalk and were busy handing out tickets to students for the home opener to various schools in the community!

All 25 players volunteered with the Rotary Food Bank Drive going door to door collecting food items and helped the 2018 Alberta Summer Games committee stuff swag bags for the Zombie Run. They were on hand at the Scarecrow Festival Family Skate and had loads of fun with the mini Storm fan!

Our Annual Teddy Bear Toss was a huge success and the players were able to deliver enough teddy bears to the hospital to sustain them for the entire year. There were many happy faces as the boys spent time with the sick children handing out the Teddy Bears.

During all their community involvement the Storm players were winning games and taking names!! Their community and team spirit shines through as they go into the next half of the season.

From all of us at the GP Storm we want to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Thank you for your support and we will see you at the next home game December 20!
