Edouard Michaud of the Grande Prairie Storm is the Canalta Hotels AJHL Player of the Week for the week of November 20th – 26th. Michaud scored 3 goals and 7 points over three games and received the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game Award.
Despite three losses last week, Michaud still produced high offensive numbers for the Storm, contributing to seven of the nine goals scored by the team. Michaud (Sherbrooke, QC) scored 1 goal and 2 assists in a 6-3 loss to Drayton Valley on Monday, November 20th, and added another goal in a 6-2 loss to Sherwood Park on Friday night. He was awarded as the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game on Saturday when he scored 1 goal and 2 assists in a 6-4 defeat at the hands of the Spruce Grove Saints.
The 20 year-old forward is seventh overall in the AJHL Scoring Race with 31 points (18 goals, 13 assists). Michaud was named as the Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Player of the Month for September 2017. In the opening month of the regular season, Edouard scored 11 goals and 15 points over eight games.
Michaud and his teammates are back in each Thursday and Friday when they host the Sherwood Park Crusaders in games in Revolution Arena at 7:30 p.m.
