Grande Prairie Storm forward and Calgary native Zach Webb ('98) was named the AJHL's Canalta Hotels Player of the Week on October 15th, 2018. In a 3 game Southern Division road trip, Webb helped lead the Storm to a 2-0-1 record with 3G-5A for 8 points. Webb now sits at 7th in AJHL scoring with 17 points, and 3rd amongst '98-born forwards. Webb had the following to say about the achievement:
“Obviously it's a great individual achievement but it doesn't happen without our team success and with the help of my linemates: Nordstrom and Okabe. Since we were put together at the Showcase, we've played with a lot of pace and been able to dictate the play in the offensive zone. I love playing with those guys every night. It's been nice to see our team click at the right time, going 6-0-1 in the last 7 games. Grande Prairie has been a great fit for me, the city and fans are great, and I think we have a solid team here.”
