The Grande Prairie Storm hosted the Olds Grizzlys on October 6th over Thanksgiving, and the Storm scored early and often to dominate the Grizzlys.
Grande Prairie product Cunningham (1) opened up the scoring from Milot-Ouellet and Spadafore at 12:33 in the first period. The Grizzlys would respond with their lone goal to tie the game at 1-1 at the end of the first period. The Storm dominated the next two periods, with all their goals coming at even-strength in the second period. Goals from Boucher (2), Spadafore (2), Pouliot (1), and Nordstrom (5) gave the Storm a commanding 5-1 lead heading into the third period. The Grizzlys would have no answer for the surging Storm, as the Storm would add another 4 goals in the third period. Goals from Nordstrom (6), Power (2), Okabe (8), and Morgan (3) would put the game well out of reach and would set the final score at 9-1. Nordstrom, Okabe, and Power would end with 3 points each, and Kaliel would earn his second victory of the season.
The Storm host the visiting Calgary Canucks on October 19th, as part of their Pink in the Rink night.
