STORM ACQUIRE FORWARD

The Grande Prairie Storm are very pleased to announce the acquisition of Connor Rooney from the Kemptville 73’s of the Central Canada Hockey League. Rooney comes to the Storm in a trade for Storm defenceman Brannon Butler.

The 6’4″ 200lb forward joins the Storm after spending the Covid shortened 2020-2021 season with Richmond Generals of the USPHL where he tallied 4 goals and 6 assists for 10 points in 10 games played. The 18 year old Nepean Ontario native tallied 14 goals and 12 assists for 26 points in 38 games the season before with the Kemptville 73’s U18 AAA Team.   The Storm would like to welcome Connor and look forward to seeing him on the ice with his new teammates at Main Camp on August 29th.

The Storm would also like to thank Brannon for his service to the team and wish him all the best moving forward.
