The Grande Prairie Storm are proud to announce they have acquired 2006 forward Max Leduc’s playing rights from the Kam River fighting Walleye of the SIJHL, in exchange for a player development fee. Leduc last played for the Walleye during the 22-23 season, en route to scoring 18 goals and 27 assists in 46 games. In 12 playoff games, Leduc scored 7 goals and 7 assists. The Walleye & Max went on to win the SIJHL championship and Max was named SIJHL Rookie of the Year. Last year, Max played for the North Iowa Bulls of the NAHL and finished the season with the Sherwood Park Crusaders of the BCHL. Welcome to the Storm, Max!
GM Mark Bomersback had this to say regarding the newly acquired forward.” Very excited to add a player of Max’s caliber into our lineup. We like his offensive ability , skill level and overall game. He’s a smart player with a ton of skill. Even though he’s only a 2006, he’s won a championship at this level in Kam River and went onto play in the Centennial cup with them. Adding a player of Max’s caliber, along with that experience, is huge for our group.
Storm Fans can see Max and the rest of the Storm roster this weekend when the 2024-2025 regular season kicks off vs the Whitecourt Wolverines. Puck drop is 7pm @ Bonnetts Energy centre. Get your tickets today as you won’t want to miss it!
