The Grande Prairie Storm are very pleased to announce that Matt Keillor will join the coaching staff for the 2015-2016 AJHL season. Matt came to Grande Prairie last year and coached the GPMHA Bantam AAA Storm as well as filled the role of Technical Director for GPMHA. This year Matt will coach the Ernie's Sports Experts Midget AAA team. Matt has previous experience in Major Midget as well as being involved with Hockey AB in both a coaching and mentor role.
Coach and General Manager Kevin Higo: We are very excited to have Matt join our coaching staff for the 15-16 AJHL Season. He was able to come out to our spring camp and be apart of the whole process both on and off the ice. During that time we sat down and talked about the opportunity for him to join the staff and get involved at the Junior A level. Matt will continue with his technical director position as well as head coach for the Midget AAA team, but will also be able to come out to majority of our practices and get on the bench for games. He does a real good job with helping players develop their individual skills and will be able to work with our players during morning and regular practice time. Matt will also take a lead role in the hockey camps this summer being hosted by the Junior A Storm.
