The Grande Prairie Storm and AJHL North Division rival Whitecourt Wolverines have completed a one for one player trade.
The Storm have sent 20 year old forward Sam Lawson to the Wolverines in exchange for 20 year old Dalton Olsen.
Lawson appeared in 20 games for the Storm this season and was second in team scoring putting up 6 goals, 8 assists and 50 pim’s.
Olsen, a native of Calgary, is a 6’1” 198lb defenseman who in his role as an Assistant Captain with the Wolverines has appeared in 17 games this year, tallying 1g, 3a and 43pim.
“Sam’s been a great soldier for us the last couple of season’s, and we wish him the best” said Storm Head Coach Matt Hughes “But we’re thrilled to bring Dalton into the fold, and we welcome him, and his family to the Storm organization.
Olsen is expected to be in the lineup when the Storm host the Sherwood Park Crusaders for a pair of games at the CGA this Friday and Saturday night.
