The Grande Prairie are happy to announce the future considerations from the Jan. 10th, 2015 trade with the Drayton Valley Thunder. The trade saw the Storm move 1995 born defense man Alex Brewer to the Thunder for futures. Those futures are now 1996 born forward Braden Jakubowski.
Coach / GM Kevin Higo, “We are very excited about adding Braden to our roster and what he can bring to the team. He will be a 3rd year player and has scored 10 goals in each of his 2 years in the AJHL. He competes hard and will fit in to our group very well. He was a top 10 goal scorer in both the Alberta Major Midget League as well as the Alberta Minor Midget League and has shown the ability to put up points in the AJHL as well. Before doing the trade we did our research on Braden and feel he will be a solid addition to our forward group. I had the opportunity to talk to Braden last night and he is excited to get to Grande Prairie and join the Storm.”
