Storm get set to host South Division Teams and family members.

The GP Storm host a pair of South Division opponents this weekend with the Drumheller Dragons and Okotoks Oilers visiting Revolution Place. Friday night the Dragons come to town and currently sit 5th in the South Division with a 10-11-1 record. The Dragons are lead offensively by 19 year old rookie Levi Wunder who recently committed to Alabama-Huntsville (NCAA). Just this week forward Ty Mappin left the Dragons for the Prince Albert Raiders of the WHL. This will be the 2nd meeting of the year between the two teams, with the Dragons winning the first game at the AJHL Showcase in Camrose. The Friday game will be the first of 3 games this weekend for the Dragons as they will also visit Whitecourt and Drayton Valley on Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday night the Okotoks Oilers visit the Storm for the first meeting of the year between the two teams. 1995 born forward Matt McNair leads the Oilers with 14 goals in 21 games. 18 year old goalie Riley Morris is in the top 10 for goaltenders with a 2.69 GAA and .901 Save %. The Oilers have the best PP % in the AJHL scoring 25 goals and a 26.32%. The Storm are in 5th place scoring 24 goals and a 23.53%.

Also this weekend the Storm will be hosting family members of the players. Friday night the Storm will introduce each players parents before the puck drops. Saturday afternoon there will be a family function where the players, family members, and billets will have a chance to get to know each other better. Then the family members will get an opportunity to tour the Storm dressing room at Revolution Place.

This weekend will be the last home games for the Storm till December 9th when they host the Fort McMurray Oil Barons. After this weekend the Storm will play 8 straight games on the road including a 4 game in 5 night trip to the South Division.
