The Peace Region’s hockey team will call the road “home” a few times this season. The Grande Prairie Storm schedule features 23 weekend games at Revolution Place with one home game in Slave Lake, and two pre-season matches in High Level.
The Storm’s first home exhibition game will be against the BCHL’s Prince George Spruce Kings on September 1 at Revolution Arena. They follow that up with a Friday-Saturday double-header in High Level against the Drayton Valley Thunder beginning on Friday, September 4. The regular season hits the ice on September 11 at Revolution Arena in Grande Prairie as the Storm face the Sherwood Park Crusaders for another weekend double-header.
This year, the team will play four games over the Christmas holidays from December 18 to January 3. The team will also play a home game in Slave Lake on January 12 against the Spruce Grove Saints. A total of 28 games will be played during the regular season in Grande Prairie’s Revolution Arena with another two exhibition games also at the arena.
North division rivals will play each other six matches throughout the season, while south division rivals will match up 2-3 times throughout the season.
