Storm Set for Showcase Weekend
The Grande Prairie Storm will head down the highway Friday to take part in the AJHL Showcase this weekend. The annual event has the Storm playing the Camrose Kodiaks and Olds Grizzlys on Friday and Saturday. The Kodiaks will host the event and have the advantage of playing in their home rink over the weekend. The Kodiaks currently sit in 4th place in the South Division and have a 3-1-1 record. Meanwhile the Grizzlys are tied for 5th in the South Division with a 2-3-0 record. The Showcase provides great opportunity for the players as there will be numerous NCAA Schools in attendance as well as WHL and NHL scouts. Each team and player will also be measured by the NHL Central Scouting during the weekend.
