Storm Sign 2006 Forward Brandon De Haas

The Grande Prairie Storm are proud to announce the signing of 2006 forward Brandon De Haas. The southern Alberta product played last season for the Okotoks Oilers in the AEHL U18 division. The captain tallied 19 goals 24 assists for a total of 43 points in 37 regular season games. Brandon also suited up for 3 games with the Junior A  Oilers scoring 1 goal. Welcome to the Storm Brandon!

GM Mark Bomersback had this to say regarding the De Haas signing. ” We are very excited that Brandon has chosen to come to GP. We feel he’s a player that can step in right away and have no problem adjusting to the speed of the AJHL and have some success right off the hop.  He’s a strong, powerful skater with great acceleration and skill to go along with it. When he’s moving  and using his speed, he’s very tough to stop. On top of all that, he’s a tremendous kid and will fit in nicely with the culture we have in place here.

“ I am very excited to join the Grande Prairie Storm hockey club. The team’s strong community support creates an atmosphere that I’m thrilled to be a part of. I’m looking forward to helping the team have a successful season and continuing to develop as a player” noted De Haas

Storm fans can get their first look at Brandon and the rest of the Storm roster when the team will have its annual Brian Nash Inter squad game on Sunday August 25th at 5:00pm. The Storm’s first home exhibition game is August 27th @7:00pm vs the Whitecourt Wolverines.

Stayed tuned for more signing announcements in the weeks ahead as the Storm continue to bolster  the roster for the 2024 /2025 season.
