The Grande Prairie Storm are proud to announce the signing of 2006 Center Chayse Laurie from Las Vegas Nevada. The 5 ’10” 180 pound center played last season alongside earlier announced signing Alec Hall at Lovell Academy. In 58 games Laurie posted 30 goals and 47 assists for a team leading 77 points. Welcome to the Storm Chayse!
GM Mark Bomersback had to say this in regards to the signing. ” Very happy to get Chayse signed and in Storm Jersey for next season. We look forward to seeing him on the ice at main camp come August 23rd. He’s a smart two way center that’s responsible defensively and someone who can provide offence / be creative when the puck is on his stick. We are excited for the year and excited to add another good piece in Chayse.

Storm Fans can get their first look at Chayse Laurie and the rest of the Storm roster when the team will have its annual Brian Nash Intrasquad game on Sunday August 25th at 5:00pm. The Storms first home exhibition game is August 27th @7:00pm vs the Whitecourt Wolverines.
