The Grande Prairie Storm are proud to announce the signing of 2004-born Defenseman, Cameron Ferraz from Cushing Academy in the USHS- Prep league.
The 5’11 175lb Ferraz, a native of Phoenix, AZ played last season for Cushing under well-known coach Paul Perl in Ashburnham, MA. “I am really excited to be joining the Storm and coming to the City of Grande Prairie. I can’t wait to get there and get things going, ” said Ferraz.
Storm General Manager, Mark Bomersback announcing the signing said ” I’m very excited to have Cameron officially part of the Storm roster, his mobility along with his skillset and ability to shoot the puck jumped out at me right away”. Bomersback added that “Cam logged a lot of minutes last year while playing against opponents top lines while leading Cushing Defense in points tallying 4 goals and 16 Assists in 26 contests, he’s a welcome addition and we couldn’t be happier”.
The Grande Prairie Storm would like to welcome Cameron and his family to the city of Grande Prairie. Fans can get their first look at Ferraz along with other new recruits when the Storm kicks off their 2022 main camp in late August.
