The Grande Prairie Storm are proud to announce the signing of 2006 Goalie Keagin Kelln. The born and raised local Grande Prairie product played last year for the U18 AAA Storm. Welcome to the Storm, Keagin & Family.
GM Mark Bomersback had this to say on the signing, “ He’s looked very good at main camp and is very deserving of this opportunity. He’s earned it! Keagin is a very good, young goaltender that’s going to continue to get better. He’s put in the work and time over the last few years and you can see it. He’s been to a few of our spring camps and main camps and has stuck to the process and now, here he is today. We feel very confident in him that when called upon that he will do a fine job. We like where we are at with him and Jonesy guarding the crease area this year. It will be great for him having a veteran goaltender like Nicholas Jones to learn from as well.”
‘”Growing up in Grande Prairie, I’ve been a Storm fan for as long as I can remember, so it’s an incredible honor to sign with my hometown team. I can’t wait to get the season started and play in front of the fans who make Grande Prairie such a great hockey community” noted Kelln
Storm fans can see Keagin and the rest of the Storm players when the 2024 -2025 regular season kicks off September 13th. The Storm will host the Whitecourt Wolverines. Puck drop is 7:00pm at Bonnetts Energy Center. Get your tickets today as you’re not going to want to miss it!
