Storm Sign 2006 Forward Max Algajer

The Grande Prairie Storm are proud to announce the signing of 6’3 right shot forward Max Algajer. The Edmonton product played last season in the AEHL with the Edmonton Jr. Oilers in the U18 Division. In 41 Regular season and playoff games Max scored 17 goals along with 15 assists for 32 points. Welcome to the Storm Max!

GM Mark Bomersback had this to say regarding Algajer signing. “ We are very happy to add Max into our line up for next season. He brings size ,speed and hockey sense to our forward group. He’s a big body that can really move and I think as he matures physically he’s going to be hard to stop. As a staff we felt he really developed and got better as last season went on. His offensive production at the U18 level really picked up during the midway point of the last season with a great circle K tournament in Calgary and that continued for the rest of the regular season. Max is a tremendous kid and teammate and we look forward to him getting up here and getting settled in once main camp starts in August . “

” Being able to join the Storm organization is a huge honour. Hearing how dedicated the fans are to this team makes me excited for the upcoming season. Grande Prairie has a great history and has moved on so many successful players to higher levels. Which leads me to believe I will have a great development path creating success for myself as well as the team. I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of it all starting in August”  Noted Algajer.

Fans can get their first look at Max along with the rest of the Storm when the 2024 main camp opens up August 23rd. The first home exhibition game is on Tuesday August 27th vs the Whitecourt Wolverines.
