Storm Sign Michaud

Major Trade Alert:

The Grande Prairie Storm of the Alberta Junior Hockey League are proud to announce they have acquired 97 Forward Edouard Michaud from St-Gabriel-De-Brandon Montagnards of the Quebec JrA League in exchange for futures. Michaud split last season between the Sherbrook Phoenix of the QMJHL and Granby Inouk of the Quebec JrA League. In 34 regular season games with Granby last year the 19-year-old forward scored 52pts and added another 17pts in 12 playoff appearances. In 3 seasons at the JrA level Edouard has amassed an impressive 56Goals and 107Assists. In 2015 Edouard represented Canada East at the World JrA Challenge where he collected 1pt in 5 games and in 2016 was the only player from Quebec JrA selected to represent Team East at the CJHL top prospects game held in Surry BC.

Coach Keillor “we have specifically been looking for a high-end playmaker with experience. When I started watching and clipping Michaud’s games I got excited right away. He has that extra gear, never stops moving his feet, and makes plays at top speed. Our Power Play has been a major focus tactically for our staff this offseason and a player with Edouard’s skill set solidifies our needs in that key element of the game. When I look at some of our big-time shooters like Clarke, Smyth and a healthy Mazerolle, those guys are going to be the beneficiaries of Michaud’s play making ability right away. The exciting thing is we’re not done. Between Bomersback our scouting staff and our coaching staff, someone’s talking to someone. There are still opportunities and we’re expecting a very competitive main camp for players that want to be a part of the Storm now and in the future”

Fans can get their first look a Michaud when he joins fellow newcomers Christopher Lanouette and Zach Okabe at Revolution Place August 25th to open Main Camp. Get down to Revolution Place to reserve your season tickets today!
