The Grande Prairie Storm of the Alberta Junior Hockey League are excited to announce they have signed Quinn Strang from the Swift Current Legionnaires. The 2002-born, 6’1″ forward from Saskatoon amassed 33 points in 43 games last year with the Swift Current Legionnaires in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League. Quinn was previously drafted in the 3rd round (#25 overall) by the La Ronge Ice Wolves in the SJHL draft in 2017, and will suit up for the Storm next season for a strong returning forward group that is set to only lose 2 players.
“When I saw Quinn for the first time, he stood out as playing with a lot of passion; rightfully wearing a letter for the Legionnaires,” says Jason Bertram, Storm scout. “He?s a big physical player that can skate with offensive upside. The more I watched him play, the more I was excited to get him in a Storm uniform for next year.”
“Adding a guy like Quinn and the character he brings with him is exactly what we want to bring into the dressing room,” says Storm General Manager Mark Bomersback. “Along with his hockey attributes, he?s a very mature kid that is a team first guy.”
