If you haven't heard your Grande Prairie Storm, which is currently one of the hottest teams in in Canada, is taking on the Top Ranked Brooks Bandits. This should be a good match up as the Brooks Bandits so far are undefeated. The Storm are currently enjoying an eight game winning streak.
There has been a noticable swagger in the back hallways of the Canada Games Arena and Storm Coach Baline Bablitz, has been preparing the team for the second half of the season, which will as always be the hardest part of the year. Staying on top of the pile is always harder than getting there. Focus, Comittment and Hard Work are a consistent formula.
This weekend also marks the Mid-Season as the Alberta Junior Hockey League hold it's Semi Annual Meeting where all 16 teams come together to discuss current and future league issues. The Board of Governors meets twice a year in Red Deer with AJHL staff and in those meetings the future direction of the league and its members is decided.
The AJHL has in recent years enjoyed being at the forefront of Hockey in Canada and its members are proud to be a part of a league which has been steadily gaining attention from the Collegiate and Professional scouting organizations.
