The Grande Prairie Storm have traded the playing rights of defenseman Sasha Larocque to the Drumheller Dragons in exchange for the playing rights of goaltender Adam Beukeboom.
Storm Head Coach Kevin Higo, “We have had talks with Sasha all summer, and he made it clear to us that he will be going to the USHL to play this year. As much as we would have like to keep Sasha's rights we felt that this was a good opportunity for the Storm to improve our team.”
Adam Beukeboom (94), who played in 17 games for the Dragons last year (11-3-3) will be attending the Prince George Cougars training camp next week, and will return to the AJHL if things do not work out for him there.
The entire Grande Prairie Storm organization would like to thank Sasha for his time here in Grande Prairie and wish him the best of luck in Dubuque Iowa as a member of the Fighting Saints.
