The Grande Prairie Storm announce today they have completed a 3 team trade with the Camrose Kodiaks (AJHL) and Nipawin Hawks (SJHL). In the Trade the Storm acquire 19 year old D-man Brendan Kallis and give up 20 year old forward Josh Zablocki.
The Storm would like to thank Josh for his time in Grande Prairie and wish him the best in Camrose.
Coach / GM Kevin Higo: This is a trade that has been in the works for majority of the summer. We talked with Josh early in the summer and he expressed that he wanted to go to University and play closer to home. So we were limited with the teams we could move him to. Brendan was a D-man that we tried to get out of Nipawin earlier in the summer and when this opportunity came about we jumped at it. He is a strong 2 way defender that can provide some offense and play against other teams top lines. He comes highly recommended by his previous coaches and is excited to get to Grande Prairie for training camp.
