Storm Win Home Opener!

Storm win home opener

The Grande Prairie Storm scored 4 goals in the first period and carried that momentum through 60 minutes for an 8-4 win. It was the Storms first win of the season and a good rebound from the season opening weekend in Fort McMurray. Drayton Valley came into Grande Prairie after a successful opening weekend winning both games against the Whitecourt Wolverines. Special teams were a factor in the game as the Storm scored 2 PP goals and the Thunder had 1. Eric Jackson faced 28 shots and earned his first AJHL win of his junior career. The Storm threw 42 shots at Thunder goalies Joseph Mcleod and Parker Tobin. Goal scorers for the Storm were Michael Clarke (2), Jake Elmer (2), Cruz Cote (2), Carter Wolski and Colby Tower.

Attendance was 1184 for the Home Opener. Both teams will get back at it Saturday Night 7:30 PM at Revolution Place.
