
The Grande Prairie Storm prides itself on growing the game of hockey in our community. As part of that mission, we are committed to providing a variety of high quality programs throughout the year, designed specifically for young Peace Country players. From fall and spring development skates, to elite spring hockey, to fun summer camps, to all-female programming, to high performance clinics, there is something for every player. All of our programs are run by Grande Prairie Storm coaching staff, with help from current Storm players. We focus on skill development, game play, and fun.

Current Junior Storm Offerings:
Spring Hockey:
-Female Spring Hockey ID Skates: Tryout skates for the all female spring hockey teams. Ages U9, U11, U13, and U15. All female teams participate in all female divisions in tournaments. Tryouts are late March in Grande Prairie.
-Team Registration: Registration for players offered a spot on a spring hockey team. Passwords can be obtained from the team manager or coach.

- 3 v 3 Storm the Puck Challenge : A fun draft style 3 on 3 tournament, geared towards Recreation or lower tiered development players.
Summer Camp:
-U9 and U11 Skills: One hour of on ice skills practice each of the 4 days. All levels welcome. Focus is on individual skills, skating, hockey understanding, and puck skills.
-U11 Battle and Compete: One hour of on ice skills practice each of the 4 days. All levels welcome. Focus is on battle drills, puck protection, and hockey understanding.
-U13 Skills and U15 Skills: Two one hour on ice skills practices and a dryland/classroom session each of the 4 days. All levels welcome. Focus is on individual skills, skating, puck skills, and battle drills.
-U18 Skills: One hour of on ice skills practice each of the 4 days. All levels welcome. Focus is on individual skills, skating, hockey understanding, battle drills and puck skills.
-New To Body Contact/Checking: Weekend clinic. One hour of on ice skills each day. Designed for rising U13 or new U15 (+) players. Focus is on how to safely deliver and receive body contact.
-U13/U15 Elite Tryout Prep: Weekend clinic. One hour of on ice skills each day. Designed to help prepare U13 and U15 players for elite and development tryouts.
-U16/U17/U18 Elite Tryout Prep: Weekend clinic. One hour of on ice skills each day. Designed to help prepare U16/U17/U18 players for elite and development tryouts.

Prospects ID Camp:
