The Grande Prairie Storm are pleased to announce that 20 year old Scott Milnthorp has committed to Marian University in Wisconsin for the 2013-14 season.
Milnthorp, a 1992-born, 5’11”, 180 pound defenseman played all 60 games for the Storm this season, scoring five goals, and adding nine assists with 69 penalty minutes as an Assistant Captain.
With his commitment to Marian University, Scott will play for the Marian Sabres out of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin in the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association of the NCAA under Head Coach A.J. Aitken
“Scott was a great ambassador for the Grande Prairie Storm over his time with our organization,” said Storm Head Coach Blaine Bablitz. “He was active in the community and continually gave back to the city. As a player, Scott competed hard for our team every night and became a huge part of our team and the leadership group.”
The Grande Prairie Storm would like to congratulate Scott and his family on his accomplishment and wish him the best of luck in his future athletic and academic endeavors.
