The Grande Prairie Storm are proud to announce the signing of 2005 fwd Ethan Kronewitt. The 5’10” 180 lb forward played the last 4 years for the Spruce Grove Saints of the AJHL/ BCHL. The veteran currently sits at a total of 285 Junior A games played, including playoffs. The Storm are excited to add the veteran and would like to welcome Ethan & Family to the Storm organization!
GM Mark Bomersback had this to say on the signing. “ We’re very excited to have Ethan a part of the group. He’s going to be a great addition to our forward group on the ice, as well as off and in the dressing room. This will be his 5th and final season of Junior hockey coming up, and we are glad he chose to spend it in Grande Prairie. He plays a solid two way game , is a great addition to the specialty teams department, and has a great work ethic and the ability to bring offence. He’s a dog on a bone with the hockey sense and skill level to set goals up as well as score them. We are very happy as a staff with where we are at with the veterans returning and the young guys signed. Adding Ethan is a solid addition to the overall culture of this team and he has fit into the group really well.”
Kronewitt added, “I’m excited to get started. What the team accomplished last year made it an easy decision to join the Storm. I believe I can contribute to winning an AJHL championship and look forward to leading by example while providing leadership and knowledge for a strong run at the Centennial Cup.”
Storm fans can get their first look at Kronewitt when the team kicks off the 2025 -2026 Regular season September19th vs the Whitecourt Wolverines. Puck drop will be at 7:00pm. Get your tickets today as you’re not gonna want to miss the action!
