FORSYTH COMMITS TO UNIVERSITY OF LETHBRIDGE

The Grande Prairie Storm are pleased to announce that 20 year old Mike Forsyth has committed to the University of Lethbridge for the 2013-14 season.
Forsyth, a 1992-born, 6’1”, 190 pound forward from Calgary played in 52 games for the Storm this season, scoring 18 goals, and adding 27 assists with 37 penalty minutes. He added one goal and three assists in four playoff games for the Storm, and was named the team’s Top 2 Way Player for the season.
With his commitment to Lethbridge, Ryan will play for the Lethbridge Pronghorns in the CIS, under Head Coach Greg Gatto.
“Mike had a huge impact on hockey team last season.” said Storm Head Coach Blaine Bablitz. “Coming back from the WHL he became an instant leader in the locker-room and did a great job mentoring our younger players. It made him the easy choice to wear the ’C’ and fill the void when we lost Taylor Cote. On the ice our season turned around when he joined our team. He brought speed, size, and strength down the middle and was one of our go to guys in all situations. Mike will be a great addition to their program next season.”
The Grande Prairie Storm would like to congratulate Mike and his family on his accomplishment and wish him the best of luck in his future athletic and academic endeavours.
