Nick Kulmanovsky of the Grande Prairie Storm is the recipient of the Friends of Alberta Junior Hockey League Trophy as the Top Goaltender in the AJHL. The Top Goaltender Award is awarded to the goalie who demonstrated the greatest ability in his position throughout the season as voted on by the league’s General Managers and Coaches.
Kulmanovsky (Fairbanks, Alaska) posted a 2.49 GAA and .918 Save Percentage in the regular season alongside his winning record of 24-12-0. Kulmanovsky was third amongst AJHL goaltenders for wins and received the Pro Hockey Life Player of the Game 8 times in the regular season. He compiled an 8 game winning streak mid-season and completed the regular season with 5 consecutive victories.
Nick Kulmanovsky becomes the third Storm goaltender to capture the AJHL Top Goaltender Award in franchise history.
