Nerland Moving On

20 year old Defense Man Mark Nerland wont be back for 2016-2017.

The Storm will not have 1996 born defense man Mark Nerland back for the 16/17 season.

Coach and General Manager Kevin Higo: “Mark has made the decision that he is going to concentrate on school this year and will not play his 20 year old season. We want to thank Mark for his year in Grande Prairie and everything he did for the Storm. He was very active in the community and was a great role model for our younger players. On the ice he was a leader and was a very consistent player. We wish Mark the best of luck in Ontario as he pursues his education.”

Nerland came to the Storm as the future considerations from the Kindersley Klippers (SJHL) in the December 2014 trade involving Stefen Seel. In 2014-2015 Mark played in 44 games and recorded 2 goals and 5 assists for 7 points.
