One Game Left

One more game and the season will be over.

Grande Prairie Storm closing out the road portion of their 2013-14 regular season schedule with a 5-3 loss Sunday afternoon in Bonnyville.  The game was originally to have been played the night previous, but flooding problems at the RJ Lalonde Arena forced it to be bumped back a day.

Jordan McTaggart, Chase Thudium and Drew Nikirk scored for the Storm, who were tied 2-2 after one period and trailed 3-2 after two.  Jacob Suppes got a rare start in goal for Grande Prairie, stopping 31 of the 36 shots he faced.

The game meant nothing in the standings to the Storm.  They were eliminated from playoff contention on Friday when they fell 3-1 in Lloydminster.

Storm finish out the season with a home game this coming Saturday against the Sherwood Park Crusaders.  It's fan appreciation night and also a time to wish good luck to the six graduating members of this year's squad.
