The Grande Prairie Storm are pleased to announce the signing of defenceman Quinten Flores for the 2026-27 season.
The 6-foot-1, left-shot blueliner from Arvada, Colorado, brings junior experience from both the NAHL and NCDC after spending last season with the Chippewa Steel, Wisconsin Windigo, and Pueblo Bulls.
Flores finished the season with the Pueblo Bulls, where he registered five goals and four assists in 13 games, showcasing his offensive instincts from the back end. Prior to his junior career, he developed with the highly regarded Colorado Thunderbirds program and was selected by the Red Deer Rebels in the 2022 WHL U.S. Priority Draft.
Storm General Manager Mark Bomersback believes Flores has all the tools to make an immediate impact.
“We’re very excited to add some size and mobility to our backend. Quinten is excited for the opportunity to come to Grande Prairie, and we’re excited to have him. We feel there’s a lot of upside and untapped potential in his game, and we expect to help his development and unlock even more of that potential. He’s a big body who’s very good on his feet and edges. We feel he’ll adjust quickly to our systems and continue to improve as he gets comfortable, gains confidence, and has the opportunity to play to his strengths.”
Flores joins a growing Storm roster that continues to add size, skill, and depth ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.
Fans won’t have to wait long to see him in action. Flores is expected to make his first appearance in a Storm jersey when Main Camp opens on August 28, with camp wrapping up at the annual Brian Nash Game on Sunday, August 30, at 5:00 p.m.
Be sure to come out and welcome Quinten to Grande Prairie as the Storm prepare for another exciting season.
