Trade Alert- Storm Aquire Local 20 year old Forward

The Grande Prairie Storm are pleased to announce the acquisition of Grande Prairie product Bowen Grycan from the Camrose Kodiaks in exchange for Defenceman Connor Frost and Forward Aiden Sexsmith.
The hometown Grycan joins the Storm after spending three seasons with the Kodiaks, where he established himself as a consistent offensive contributor in the Alberta Junior Hockey League. With over 140 career AJHL games, Grycan recorded 44 goals and 48 assists for 92 points. His strongest season came in the 25/26 season, when he posted 22 goals and 24 assists for 46 points in 53 games, showcasing his scoring ability and offensive impact. Grycan brings valuable AJHL experience to the Storm lineup and adds skill, goal-scoring ability, and offensive creativity to the team’s forward group. His work ethic and ability to contribute at both ends of the ice make him a valuable addition as the Storm continue to build toward the upcoming season.
“We’re excited to welcome Bowen back home to wear the Storm Jersey in his final year of Junior Hockey ,” said GM Mark Bomersback. “He is a player we believe will fit well with our style of play and our culture. He can shoot the puck / provide offence and be a leader on and off the ice. He’s a very good player and even a better person, and we look forward to seeing the impact he’ll have both on and off the ice.”
The organization would also like to thank Connor Frost and Aiden Sexsmith for their dedication and contributions during their time with the Storm. Frost and Sexsmith both provided valuable depth and commitment to the Storm lineup. Frost brought a strong two-way presence , offence from the back end and competitiveness, while Sexsmith contributed with his work ethic , speed and development throughout his time in Grande Prairie.

players  / making a trade. This is a big trade with very good players and people involved. We appreciate everything they have done for the Storm last season and wish them nothing but success with the Camrose Kodiaks and their future hockey careers moving forward.”
The Grande Prairie Storm are excited to welcome Bowen Grycan home and look forward to seeing him in Storm colours this season. Main camp Kicks off August 28th @ Bonnetts Energy Centre. The Annual Brian Nash White vs Blue Game is Sunday August 30th at 5pm . The Storm will kick off the AJHL exhibition schedule Tuesday Sept 1st vs the Drayton Valley Thunder . Puck drop is at 6pm.
