Grande Prairie Storm Alumni Carter Rowney has signed a new contract with the WB/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League. This will be Carter's 3rd year as a pro after a strong NCAA career with the University of North Dakota. He joined the Junior A Storm after playing both Bantam and Midget AAA with the Grande Peace Athletic Club, including a 48 goal season his final year of midget. While with the Junior A Storm Carter won an AJHL Championship, was named AJHL Playoff MVP, and was also a member of the AJHL North All-Star team.
