My name is Rory Brickner, father of Preston Brickner. Back at the beginning of the month I believe you received an email from Loreta West informing you our son Preston was in the hospital as he was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. This was a very stressful week for us as a family and especially for a 6 year old. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Grande Prairie Storm, especially Sasha Larocque, Jordan McTaggart and David Morrison for taking the time to come visit Preston in the hospital. Not only did they spend a half hour visiting and watching Monsters University with him, they made sure to get him in the dressing room after the Friday’s win against Bonnyville. Jordan took him around to all the guys, making sure everyone signed his jersey. Please let these guys know that stuff like this matters! Your hockey club has definitely left a lasting impression on Preston and our family. Preston has always been a Storm fan, but there’s a bit bigger smile on his face at every game now!!
