Storm Sign Jack Zayat from Brandon Wheat Kings (WHL)

The Grande Prairie Storm of the Alberta Junior Hockey League are excited to add defenseman Jack Zayat to the roster from the Brandon Wheat Kings (WHL).

Jack was a 4th round (74th) selection in the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft by the Brandon Wheat Kings and has played 11 games.

Zayat made a name for himself in minor hockey, scoring 37 points in 34 games in Bantam AAA with the Calgary Bisons and followed with an outstanding 55 points in 31 games with the Calgary Rangers Minor Midget team. His strong minor hockey career ended on a high note last season with the Calgary Buffaloes (AMHL). Jack recorded 2 goals, 18 assists on route to winning an AMHL championship. Jack continued his effective play in the Telus Cup, accumulating 5 points in 7 games.

Jack will join the Storm this weekend when we head to Drayton Valley and Sherwood Park to play 3 games in 3 days!
