The Grande Prairie Storm is proud to announce that 2005 Defenseman Will Haley has committed to the Lakehead University Thunderwolves Men’s Hockey team for the 2026-2027 season. Haley suited up for 43 games with the Storm, holding down the blue line while notching 21 points.
“Will made an immediate impact on our team when we signed him at the deadline last year, with experience on and off the ice,” said Storm General Manager Mark Bomersback. “He was an outstanding teammate and leader, and we’re excited to see him earn the opportunity to continue both his hockey career and education at Lakehead. We know he’ll be a great addition to the Thunderwolves program.”
Haley’s commitment reflects the Storm’s continued dedicated to developing student-athletes for success at the next level. His combination of strong defensive play, poise under pressure, and veteran presence made him a valuable member of the organization.
