The Grande Prairie Storm of the Alberta Junior Hockey League are excited to announce 01 forward Nathanial Bierd has signed a letter of intent for the 2018/19 season. The Calgary product led the Calgary Midget AAA Royals in scoring with 15 goals and 21 assists in 35 regular season games. Nate continued to dominate in the AMHL playoffs with 11 points in 12 games.

Keillor thinks fans will love Nates compete level and skill right away. “Fans are going to fall in love with Nate. He has an unbelievable compete level and sees the ice very well. We wanted to get faster and more competitive next year and that’s Nate’s game. We want to be a team that comes at you line after line and wave after wave. Teams will have their hands full trying to contain him for a full 60 minutes”

“Nathanial is a very mature young man and puts a tremendous amount of work in being a hockey player both on and off the ice. We are very excited Nate and his family have joined the Storm family”

Nathanial says he can’t wait to get started. “I’m really exited to join the Storm, and really appreciate this opportunity with the team and the community. The organization has been very supportive and I look forward to helping my teammates build of their 17/18 season”

Nate will join recent commitment and Michigan product Nick Trela when the Storm begin main camp in late August at Revolution Place. Check back soon for more announcements!
