Emergency Worker’s Children Are Free at Storm Games this Weekend

Grande Prairie, AB – The first of a number of Storm theme nights takes place this weekend, with the introduction of the Emergency Workers Nights at Friday and Saturday’s game.

All emergency workers are encouraged to wear their colours, uniform or some sort of public identification – and wear them proudly!

As a bonus, if they show their identification at the Revolution Place Box Office they will receive free tickets for their children if they are 12 and under or a student. A maximum of 500 tickets is available each night.

Emergency workers include current or retired volunteer and paid service members who can present an identification showing they are a member of fire, police, EMS, technical rescue, ski patrol, amateur radio, mountain rescue, or search and rescue groups.

Availability of this offer opens at 3:00 p.m. today, Thursday, October 8, and runs until the limited tickets run out. Tickets are only available in person at the Revolution Place box office.

The Grande Prairie Storm began their 20th season in September. Their full schedule, as well as ticket pricing is available at: www.grandeprairiestorm.ca

Quotes:
• “This week is only one of many that emergency workers put themselves at risk for others. This weekend we honour them by rewarding their children with a night at the game.”
• “Our thoughts are also with the Hythe Fire Department this week as they deal with the losses of two members to cancer.”
o Kevin Higo, Head Coach, Grande Prairie Storm
