The Grande Prairie Storm are proud to announce the signing of 2003-born Defenceman Nathan Rickey from the Gentry Stars in the USHS-MN league.
The 6’4” 175lb Rickey, a native of New Lenox, IL led the Stars in points by a defenceman last year scoring 4 goals 21 assists in 27 contests.
Storm General Manager, Mark Bomersback announcing the signing said ”We are very excited to have Nathan officially part of the Storm roster for next season, he is a big mobile defenceman with a long reach who defends opponents well, he poses great puck skills, patience and comes with a high hockey IQ. Nathan is a Grade A individual who has been a part of a winning culture and we look forward to him helping bring that culture to the Storm!”
The Grande Prairie Storm would like to welcome Nathan and his family to the city of Grande Prairie. Fans can get their first look at Nathan along with other new recruits when the Storm kick off their 2022 main camp August 26th.
