Storm Sign 2006 Dman Cash Ganske

Grande Prairie Storm General Manager Mark Bomersback announced today the team has signed seventeen-year old Alberta product Cash Ganske to the active roster.

The smooth skating skilled  5’10” left shot defenceman joins the Storm from the Leduc Oil kings of the U18 Alberta Elite Hockey League ( AEHL U18). In 24 games this season with Leduc Cash has recorded 3 goals and 11 assists to go along with 22 penalty minutes.

General Manager Mark Bomersback had this to say about bringing Ganske in midway through the season. ” Cash is someone we have watched over the last few years. We are very comfortable in his playing abilities and believe he can come in and help our team not only for the remainder of this season but moving forward in the years to come. He’s an elite skater that should have no problem adjusting to the speed of the AJHL. He has shown us he can play in all situations logging some big minutes at the U18 level for Leduc.

The Storm would like to welcome Cash and the entire Ganske family to our organization.

Ganske is expected to make his Storm debut on this weekend’s upcoming road trip. The Storm head to Camrose for a Friday night tilt with the Kodiaks before playing in Blackfalds vs the Bulldogs Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.
