The Grande Prairie Storm are proud to announce the signing of 2004 right winger Gaborik Carlson from the Houghton High School in Michigan.
The 6’1” 182 pound Carlson played for Houghton High school in the USHS-MI. The team’s co- captain played 25 regular season games totalling 14 goals 39 assists for 53 Points during the regular season and racked up another 5 points in 4 playoff games.
“ We are very excited to add Gaborik to our line up for next season. He’s a strong, powerful skater that can get up and down the ice in a hurry. He has great hockey sense / vision with very good play making ability. We feel he’s another strong piece to the forward group that will fit in nicely with the other signed guys / returning group.“ We wanted to add more speed, skill and size to our lineup and Gaborik brings all of those” notes GM Mark Bomersback.
