Trade Alert -Storm Acquire Goalie Mikael Kingo from Georgetown

The Grande Prairie Storm have acquired 2004 Goalie Mikael Kingo from the Georgetown Raiders of the OJHL in exchange for a Player Development fee. The Burlington, Ontario product has played the last two seasons with the Raiders. Last year in 26 games Kingo posted a record of 16-7-2 with a .919 SV % and a goals against average of  2.48.  Welcome to the Storm Mikael!

GM Mark Bomersback had this to say regarding the trade. ” Mikael is a veteran goalie with two years experience at the Junior A level. He had a very good year last year and a good rookie season 2 years ago. He’s continued to get better every year. He’s won the OJHL humanitarian award the last two seasons. We are excited to add him to the team and into the community of Grande Prairie.”
Fans can get there first look at Mikael along with the rest of the Storm roster when the team plays there last and final Exhibition game September 9th Vs the Drayton Valley Thunder, a 6pm puck drop.
